Way beyond procurement!

Procurement staff has a lot of tasks which can be devided in two fractions. one, which is creating sustainable value for the enterprise, and another one which is repetitive work. ZUGSEIL wants to support its customers with:

  • deep supply chain digitalization The ZUGSEIL Supply Chain Solutions AG company offers products, which can plug-and-play with other B-Op Digitals supply chain software - as being based on the b-op technology. And the best "plug-and-play" does not mean giving up date sovereignty. All your data stay with you, not only logically but even physically if you want this!
  • reduction of repetitive work to zero ZUGSEIL`s tool do not just think of the Procure-To-Pay or Source-To-Pay processes. The complexity starts when these common processes have not yet started or have already ended:
    • Before a good product can be ordered the right supplier must be identified (only price and picture are not a good base for procurement decisions) and product eventually must be configured to the exact needs of the organization!
    • After a good has been recieved, a quality control, lifecycle tracking makes sense
    • Equipment management for the employee working with these goods is a major issue
    • There are procurement goods (like mobile phones, digital subscriprions, ...) which cannot be procured only but require management until cancellation.
  • humans in doing what they can do best
    • Find the right partners for building a stable supply chain
    • Design supply and value chains
For some of these tasks there already exist tools, but ZUGSEIL BEST is the first to integrate them into one product.

ZUGSEIL has invested over the last 25 years to make full digitalization of all processes in these product groups simple and affordable. Our products integrate nicely with existing ERP-Environments and help their users to dramatically cut down IT cost in the procurement business domain. Also, ZUGSEIL is based on the b-op platform, solving all the data privacy issues by design and bringing the capability of free full supply chain integration.

The ZUGSEIL brand is the area from which we originate - the corporate wear industry.



Corporate wear comes with complex products and highly specific business processes, which bring a lot of sophisticated on the customer side as well as on the supplier side. Exactly for catering these highly complex business processes which require strong collaboration (and therefore deep digital integration) between suppliers and customers, we have developed two standard products, which can be easily on-boarded through our website and free online training courses:

  • ZUGSEIL BEST - for the customer side, which has to equip their employees with corporate fashion or ppe
  • ZUGSEIL BEST Supplier - for the supplier side, which has to integrate with the customer side and deliver products and services to them.

ZUGSEIL ProcurementPro

Although having started as specialty solutions for corporate fashion and personal protective equipment (ppe) which are sold under the ZUGSEIL brand, we have learned that it is easier for our solutions which are built for solving complex procurement issues of our customers to solve simple procurement issues, rather than the other way around when using standard P2P or S2P solutions.

Therefore we have created a set of tools similar to ZUGSEIL BEST products, but stripped from all the specifics of textile procurement and there therefore even easier to adopt for our customers which do not have the focus of solving their textile demands.

ZUGSEIL CONFIDE

One of the early research focus was mass customization which is part of our DNS. As a result we have developed the ZUGSEIL Confide Design Studio, which allows the standardized creation of configurator solution spaces and propagation of these solution spaces in b-op catalogs. This unique feature-set is sold as an addon product to all other ZUGSEIL products.

ZUGSEIL ANALYTICS COMMUNITY

Our ZUGSEIL Analytics Community is a community which each ZUGSEIL customer may join on a subscription model. It offers to its subscribers a platform to request individual reports and dashboard elements, e.g. to specific product groups, at a very reduced price. Once they are implemented, ZUGSEIL documents them nicely and describes the contents so the community can find them. The so published elements can then be used by the subscribers of the ZUGSEIL Analytics community to form highly individualized dashboards and reports.

ZUGSEIL Custom Solutions

We have been encountering more and more special requests by customers along our journey. Together with our implementation partners we have developed more abstract tools plus a set of functionality which can act as a full peer-to-peer ERP solution. It can be used for supply chain management for all types of products - and of course c parts. Therefore, the tools are ideal for all organizations which wants to drive their digital business process integration with all partners in their entire trade sphere ecosystem:

Sport level products (advanced functionality, requires training sessions with your teams)

  • ATST Procurement Suite - a full procurement-suite which comes with many advanced functionality for supply chain management
  • ATST Supplier Suite - a full suite for handling most of the supplier tasks required for integration with the customers

Performance level products (top notch functionality, project management and training required, custom functionality)

Long story short

When we were asked in 2002 by our first customer to build an employee shop this looked to us like a fairly simple job. We had to learn that this impression was deceiving!

Problems arose when we found that the goods required by staff are often critical to operations or there are legal requirements which make it essential to deeply integrate with suppliers along the supply chains, e.g. in personal protective equipment. Even more complexity injected, when we found that personal equipment in many cases requires a high level of customization of the products (e.g. product variants in corporate wear). When thinking on full digitization of your internal procurement we sometimes even ended up with freely configurable products in the area of personal protective equipment (PPE) or medical supplies for individual employees. Also we had to learn, that many companies have a clear definition who should receive which equipment items at which point in time depending on the activities and regions the employee is active in. In the last years customers more and more are striving to reduce their ecological footprint and company spending by introducing product-lifecycle-tracking for reuse or refurbishment cycles of equipment.

All these issues were not clear at the beginning of our journey but have brought us to the point that we can now offer a merely complete set of tools which go far beyond the regular purchasing scope offered by other systems.

Over the last 25 years ZUGSEIL has been looking into various product groups and tried to understand the specifics of these, because we have learned early that the full digital dividend will only happen to our customers, when all processes are entirely covered and the interacting parties communicate digitally. Most vendors believe that proper handling of the Procure-To-Pay or Source-To-Pay Processes do the trick, but the real value for our customers requires the entire fulfillment and lifecycle processes of all products to be implemented. With old fashioned systems this takes tons of interfaces, which is very expensive. Most standard-interface-systems like EDI are not even close to being capable of achieving this. So we are very proud to say that we deliver exactly this value with our products being based on the B-Op technology, enabling our customers to fully integrate their processes with all partners in your companies unique ecosystem without huge IT investments to be made.
