Supply chain masquerading refers to the choice for each supply chain member to not share information with supply chain peers.

Downstream masquerading

Downstream means that vendors do not share inforamtion with their customers. Downstream relevant information are:

  • Information on the upstream root
  • Information on upstream vendors to the root
  • Information on upstream article availabilty information

Upstream masquerading

Upstream masquerading means that customers do not share infor

  • in the downstream process chains, where informarion of sub suppliers (e.g. stock availability)
  • in the upstream processes chains : customer information
  • hide or reveal the upstream supply chain regarding billing
