ZUGSEIL - Plug&Play for Supply Chains

In the last decades, companies were focused on enhancing internal processes with the possibilities of IT. Vendors of goods tried to increase their sales using new tools of the internet mostly by creating eCommerce tools. Customers tried to optimize their procurement processes. The touching point processes between these two natural sides of the trade ecosystem was always only seen from one perspective (sales or procurement). Depending on the customer-vendor relation the stronger side typically dictated how and if IT integration was possible and how it was realized. Dominating technologies up to now are EDI, Punch-Out-Catalogs and internet shops. All these technologies  do integrate somehow, but deliver suboptimal integration on both sides with high continuous IT or operation cost on both sides. In the last years marketplaces have formed, which outsource the integration cost at the cost of data, which renders both parties (vendors and customers) to give aways business information to third parties, which generally is not desirable!

By employing b-op technology, ZUGSEIL offers a disruptive new technology to the trade ecosystem. It allows all its users to connect seamlessly and exchange real time information peer to peer. This core USP drives a couple of side USPs which are impossible with existing tools, like dynamic cross-company configurators, cross company personal equipment networks, service supply chains and many more use cases which require full digital integration between companies to function.

These USPs unlock supply chain collaboration on an unprecedented level – Source-To-Pay or Procure-To-Pay are very limited approaches driven by the procuring side of the trade ecosystem. Procurement staff have a lot of tasks. From our perspective, they can be divided in two fractions. One, which is creating sustainable value for the enterprise, and another one which is repetitive work and therefore can for being automated. Along our journey, we have been encountering many special requests by customers. Our absolute standard product is ZUGSEIL BEST, which covers the Source to Manage Process, which adds the Management to the Source-To-Pay or Procure-To-Pay process chains. We have put so much effort into standardization and configurability of the product, so that we are now able to offer this product as Software-as-a-service package, which can be self deployed by the customer. ZUGSEIL BEST is sold through our website www.zugseil.com and offers four roles to our customers, which are freely combinable: Employer, Vendor, Manufacturer and Service Provider.

Over time and together with our implementation partners we have developed more abstract tools plus a set of functionality which can act as an ERP enrichment or full peer-to-peer ERP solution. It can be used for supply chain management for all types of products - no matter if A, B or C parts. Our tools are ideal for all organizations which wants to drive their digital business process integration with all partners in their entire trade sphere ecosystem. ZUGSEIL ProcurementPro

Although having started as specialty solutions for corporate fashion and personal protective equipment (ppe) which are sold under the ZUGSEIL brand, we have learned that it is easier for our solutions which are built for solving complex procurement issues of our customers to solve simple procurement issues, rather than the other way around when using standard P2P or S2P solutions.

Therefore we have created a set of tools similar to ZUGSEIL BEST products, but stripped from all the specifics of textile procurement and there therefore even easier to adopt for our customers which do not have the focus of solving their textile demands.

ZUGSEIL CONFIDE

One of the early research focus was mass customization which is part of our DNS. As a result we have developed the ZUGSEIL Confide Design Studio, which allows the standardized creation of configurator solution spaces and propagation of these solution spaces in b-op catalogs. This unique feature-set is sold as an addon product to all other ZUGSEIL products.

ZUGSEIL ANALYTICS COMMUNITY

Our ZUGSEIL Analytics Community is a community which each ZUGSEIL customer may join on a subscription model. It offers to its subscribers a platform to request individual reports and dashboard elements, e.g. to specific product groups, at a very reduced price. Once they are implemented, ZUGSEIL documents them nicely and describes the contents so the community can find them. The so published elements can then be used by the subscribers of the ZUGSEIL Analytics community to form highly individualized dashboards and reports.

b-op

Over the last 25 years ZUGSEIL has been looking into various product groups and tried to understand the specifics of these, because we have learned early that the full digital dividend will only happen to our customers, when all processes are entirely covered and the interacting parties communicate digitally. Most vendors believe that proper handling of the Procure-To-Pay or Source-To-Pay Processes do the trick, but the real value for our customers requires the entire fulfillment and lifecycle processes of all products to be implemented. With old fashioned systems this takes tons of interfaces, which is very expensive. Most standard-interface-systems like EDI are not even close to being capable of achieving this. So we are very proud to say that we deliver exactly this value with our products being based on the B-Op technology, enabling our customers to fully integrate their processes with all partners in your companies unique ecosystem without huge IT investments to be made.
