Alternate Sourcing Process

Business requirements

• Customer defines a request-list of local categories or individual products
• Customer invites connected digitals to take part in request-list based quote process (Listbased RFQ)
• Transport request-list to these potential supplier digitals
• Supplier maps their products on the request-list
• Transport of this mapping to the requesting customer
• Customer accepts these alternate product mapping and defines the appropriate multi-sourcing-strategy

Technical requirements

• Volatile data store for RFQ request transmission (like a reverse catalog, but using SDC Product data and SDC Classification Data)
• Only products, which are in db can be requested for alternate sourcing.
• Mappings on supplier and customer side in database (linked to Product_RefUIDs)
• Volatile data store for RFQ answer (like a reverse catalog usind SLH Product data)
• Creation of mapping in local database (requires import from catalog)
